Professional Paint Correction — Coming Soon to Sleek Auto Works
Your paint tells the story of every drive. Over time, improper washing, UV exposure, and everyday contaminants leave behind swirl marks, scratches, and dullness that wax simply can't fix. Paint correction is the professional solution — a multi-stage machine polishing process that removes surface defects and restores your vehicle's finish to a level that rivals the showroom floor.
We're putting the finishing touches on our paint correction service and will be launching soon. Join our waitlist to be first in line when we open bookings.
What Is Paint Correction?
Paint correction is not a detail. It's not a wax. It's a precise, machine-assisted process where a trained technician carefully removes a controlled amount of clear coat to eliminate surface imperfections — revealing the true depth and gloss hiding underneath.
Unlike a standard wash or quick detail that temporarily masks defects, paint correction actually removes them. The result is a finish that looks cleaner, reflects more clearly, and holds up better over time — especially when followed by a protective coating.
What Paint Correction Fixes
🌀 Swirl Marks Fine circular scratches caused by improper washing, automatic car washes, or dirty towels. One of the most common paint defects on daily drivers.
🔆 Light Scratches & Scuffs Surface-level marks that haven't cut through to the base coat can often be fully removed or significantly reduced through polishing.
☀️ Oxidation & UV Fading Prolonged sun exposure breaks down your clear coat, leaving paint looking dull, chalky, or faded. Correction restores clarity and color vibrancy.
💧 Water Spots & Mineral Etching Hard water and acid rain leave behind mineral deposits that etch into the clear coat. Correction removes the damage before it becomes permanent.
🌫️ Hazy or Dull Clear Coat If your paint no longer reflects sharply, correction brings back the depth and gloss that makes a vehicle look truly well maintained.
Correction Levels
Not every vehicle needs the same level of work. We'll offer tiered correction packages based on your paint's condition and your goals.
Stage 1 — Enhancement Polish Best for: vehicles in good condition with minor swirls and light dullness What it does: single-stage polish to enhance gloss and remove light surface defects Result: noticeably cleaner, shinier finish
Stage 2 — Full Correction Best for: vehicles with moderate swirl marks, water spots, and visible scratches What it does: two-stage compound and polish process targeting deeper defects Result: significant improvement in clarity and reflection
Stage 3 — Compound Correction Best for: heavily oxidized paint, severe swirl damage, or vehicles being prepped for ceramic coating What it does: aggressive compound followed by finishing polish for maximum defect removal Result: the closest finish to factory-new paint achievable without a respray
Why Paint Correction Before Ceramic Coating?
If you're planning on protecting your vehicle with a ceramic coating, paint correction isn't just recommended — it's essential.
Ceramic coating bonds directly to your paint and locks in whatever condition it's in. That means if swirl marks and scratches are present before the coating goes on, they'll be sealed underneath it — permanently visible and protected.
Correcting the paint first ensures you're preserving a flawless finish, not trapping imperfections under a layer of protection.
At Sleek Auto Works, we'll offer paint correction and ceramic coating as a combined package for customers who want the full transformation.
